The OIC Y2K Due Diligence Process
Purpose
This is to outline the OIC Y2K Due Diligence process for an organisation to show trading
partners that the organisation has endeavoured to ensure that it has followed a process to try to achieve Y2K Compliancy with its Desktop computerised systems.
The Process
The organisation has:
- prepared a Y2K plan
- nominated somebody as responsible for the Y2K issue
- identified and listed its business partners
- listed its computer systems with software
- run Y2K Checking software
- remediated failed hardware systems
- endeavoured to remediate failed operating and application software
- tested user data for Y2K compliancy
- established an on-going process for checking user data for Y2K compliancy
- checked application macros for Y2K compliancy keystrokes
